Flat Patterns
I was asked to design the sheet metal flat patterns for a custom truss that fit an existing curved ceiling. There were two different shaped ceilings to be fabricated. I took measurements of the existing structure and based on the location of where the client wanted the truss to be placed, I was able to design a truss system to fit the exact location using the Autodesk Inventor software.
Later, the client asked me to design mounting hardware to the truss for existing speakers and projectors. I modeled the speakers and projector mounts ("space models") and created mounting plates around the existing truss and equipment. Drawings not shown for privacy.
